Elaine Hiel Matching Challenge Grant
Mo`olelo Performing Arts Company Board of Trustees member Elaine Hiel has announced a one-to-one fundraising matching challenge: for every dollar Mo`olelo can raise in individual donations between June 14 and September 21, 2008, she will donate another dollar up to $5,000!
Elaine made this challenge in the name of her late husband, Joe Hiel, whose stroke in 1981 rendered him aphasic. Aphasia is the same disability that the central character of Night Sky acquires and it is in Joe’s memory that we are producing the play. June 14, the day we launched the challenge, is Joe’s birthday, and September 21, the closing day of the challenge, is the closing performance of Night Sky.
